About Cherrywood Productions

Our Story

Cherrywood Productions was founded in 2004 by Simon Burridge and has grown into a multi-award-winning video and photography studio producing weddings, corporate films, commercial content, podcasts and original TV projects.

What began as a small videography business evolved in 2010 when Simon joined forces with Rachel Burridge (Claringbold), a BA (Hons) Photography & Media Arts graduate. Their combined creative strengths built Cherrywood into a respected, professional production studio known for both reliability and cinematic quality.

Rachel is an experienced photographer and videographer with a strong visual eye and a calm, organised presence. Her ability to capture authentic moments while keeping productions running smoothly plays a key role in every Cherrywood project.

Together, Simon and Rachel combine creativity with professionalism — delivering work that feels natural, considered and timeless.

Simon is a director, cinematographer and editor with extensive experience across corporate production, weddings, podcasts and scripted film. Recognised as Best Director and Best Producer in Comedy 2024, his work spans commercial campaigns, broadcast-style productions and original comedies distributed on Amazon.

His approach blends structured production with creative storytelling — ensuring every project feels both polished and purposeful.

Beyond Weddings & Corporate

Cherrywood Productions is also behind The Cherrywood Podcast, which has grown to over 250,000 subscribers. With hundreds of episodes produced, it demonstrates not just filming capability, but long-term consistency, audience growth and structured content strategy.
