Terms & Conditions

Please read the relevant section carefully before booking. By proceeding with a booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Wedding Photography & Videography Terms

1. Booking & Payments
A non-refundable £200 deposit (or agreed booking fee) is required to secure your wedding date. No date is reserved until this payment is received.
A 14-day cooling-off period applies from the date the deposit is received. Any cancellation within this period must be made in writing.
The final balance is due 12 weeks prior to the wedding date and is non-refundable.
If a payment plan is agreed, all payments made are non-refundable.
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of services and forfeiture of payments made. Interest may be charged at 5% per week on overdue amounts.
Final products will not be delivered until full payment has been received.

2. Copyright & Usage
Under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, copyright for all photography and videography remains with Cherrywood Productions.
Clients receive a licence for personal use of delivered images and films. No copying, scanning, editing, resale or reproduction is permitted without prior written consent.
Raw digital files and unedited footage remain the property of Cherrywood Productions and will not be supplied.

3. Display of Work
Unless otherwise requested in writing, Cherrywood Productions may use selected photos and/or videos for promotional purposes including website, social media, printed materials, wedding fairs and industry publications.
Content will always be used respectfully and never in a way that could be considered damaging or embarrassing.

4. Artistic Licence
Cherrywood Productions retains full artistic discretion over the style, number of images, locations and poses captured. Professional judgement is final.

5. Personnel
Cherrywood Productions reserves the right to assign an alternative photographer or videographer if necessary.

6. Venue & Filming Restrictions
The officiant or venue representative has final authority regarding filming permissions and camera placement.
Drone use is subject to weather, airspace restrictions and venue approval.
The client is responsible for ensuring the venue meets local licensing and health & safety requirements.

7. Client Responsibilities
Clients must inform Cherrywood Productions in advance of any specific people, moments or details they wish to be captured.
While every effort will be made, specific shots cannot be guaranteed due to the live nature of events.
Clients are responsible for securing any required music or filming licences prior to the event.
Wedding insurance is strongly recommended.

8. Delivery & Orders
Final photos and films are delivered digitally unless otherwise agreed.
Album orders must be placed within 12 months of the contract date.
Orders typically take 6–8 weeks but may take longer during peak periods.
Due to the bespoke nature of products, refunds or exchanges cannot be offered.

9. Force Majeure (Events Beyond Control)
Cherrywood Productions cannot be held responsible for delays, losses or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control.

10. Limitation of Liability
In the unlikely event of loss or damage beyond our control, liability is limited to a refund of monies paid. This excludes completed products already delivered.

Corporate & Commercial Terms

1. Booking & Payments
A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to secure a project date. No dates or resources are reserved until payment has cleared.
The remaining balance is due within 30 days of project completion and delivery of agreed assets.
Late payments may incur a 5% late-payment fee.
Work requested outside the agreed quotation (additional filming, revisions, alternative versions, rush delivery, new formats) will be charged at standard rates.

2. Ownership, Copyright & Usage
Cherrywood Productions retains full copyright and ownership of all footage, photography, audio, raw files and project files.
Upon full payment, the Client receives a non-exclusive licence to use the final delivered media for the agreed purposes.
The Client may not:

  • edit or alter the footage

  • hire a third party to re-edit or repurpose it

  • resell or redistribute the media

without written permission.
Raw files remain the property of Cherrywood Productions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Storage & Archiving
Project files and raw footage are stored for 30 days after final delivery. After this period, data may be deleted without notice.
Long-term storage is not included unless agreed in writing.

4. Confidentiality
Sensitive or private information shared by the Client will be kept confidential and not disclosed without consent, except where required by law.

5. Insurance & Working Conditions
Cherrywood Productions operates within the limits of its professional indemnity, public liability and equipment insurance.
Filming cannot be undertaken in hazardous or excluded environments, including but not limited to:

  • tunnels, mines, shafts

  • offshore structures

  • rail trackside or motorways

  • power stations or dams

  • high-risk industrial environments

  • pyrotechnics or specialist stunt activities

Cherrywood Productions reserves the right to decline or withdraw from such work.
The Client is responsible for obtaining all necessary:

  • location permissions

  • permits and licences

  • contributor releases

  • access approvals

Cherrywood Productions accepts no liability for delays caused by missing or invalid permissions.
Cherrywood Productions does not accept liability under the legal jurisdiction of the United States or Canada.

6. Drone Operations
Drone filming is provided only where legally permitted, safely achievable and insured.
Cherrywood Productions reserves the right to cancel or modify drone activity due to weather, safety concerns, airspace restrictions or insurance limitations.

7. Revisions & Delivery
Unless otherwise stated, quotations include one round of reasonable revisions.
Additional revisions or re-edits are billed at standard rates.
Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on project scope and feedback speed.

8. Cancellation & Rescheduling
The 30% deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations within 7 days of the shoot date may incur additional committed costs.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.

9. Limitation of Liability
Cherrywood Productions accepts no liability for:

  • indirect or consequential losses

  • loss of revenue or profit

  • delays caused by weather, illness, equipment failure or circumstances beyond control

  • delays caused by late client approvals

Liability is limited to the total fee paid for the project.
