1. Confidentiality & Data Protection (GDPR)

All contracts between Cherrywood Productions and the Client(s) are treated with strict confidentiality. Personal details will never be shared with third parties. All information is stored securely on a protected drive.

2. Display of Work

Unless requested, Cherrywood Productions may use selected photos and/or videos for promotional purposes, including (but not limited to) websites, social media, printed materials, wedding fairs, brochures, and industry publications. Only images used lawfully and respectfully will be chosen, and we will never use content that could be considered damaging or embarrassing to the client(s).

3. Copyright

Under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, copyright for all photography and videography remains with Cherrywood Productions. No copying, scanning, or reproduction is permitted without prior written consent.

4. Booking, Payments & Cancellations

  • A non-refundable deposit (amount agreed at booking) is required to secure your date.

  • A 14-day cooling-off period applies from the date the deposit is received. Cancellations within this period must be made in writing.

  • The final balance (non-refundable) is due 12 weeks prior to the wedding date.

  • If a payment plan is agreed, all payments made through the plan are non-refundable.

  • All communication regarding booking and confirmation will be via email unless otherwise agreed.

5. Late Payments

  • Failure to pay the final balance by the due date may result in cancellation of services and forfeiture of any payments made.

  • Cherrywood Productions reserves the right to charge interest at 5% per week on any overdue amounts.

  • Final products (e.g., digital files, albums, films) will not be delivered until payment is received in full.

6. Artistic Licence

Cherrywood Productions retains full artistic discretion over the style, number of images, locations, and poses captured. Our professional judgement will be final.

7. Personnel

We reserve the right to assign an alternative photographer or videographer if necessary, without prior notice.

8. Venue Restrictions

The officiant (vicar, priest, registrar, etc.) has final authority over camera placement and filming permissions during the ceremony.

9. Raw Digital Files

All raw footage remains the property of Cherrywood Productions and will not be supplied.

10. Acts of God

We will do our best to deliver our services under all conditions. However, we cannot be held responsible for delays, losses, or disruptions due to events beyond our control.

11. Limitations of Liability

In the unlikely event of loss or damage to footage beyond our control, Cherrywood Productions’ liability is limited to a full refund of any monies paid. This excludes refunds for completed products already delivered.

12. Orders & Product Delivery

  • Orders (e.g., albums) must be placed within 12 months of the contract date.

  • Alterations must be made within one working day of placing the order.

  • Orders typically take 6–8 weeks but may take longer during peak periods.

  • Completed orders must be collected within 2 months of notification; otherwise, they may be discarded.

  • Clients must notify Cherrywood Productions within 3 working days of receiving an order in case of error, shortage, or damage.

  • Due to the bespoke nature of our products, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges.

13. Health & Safety

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the venue meets all local licensing and health & safety requirements.

14. Licensing for Music & Filming

The client is responsible for securing all required music and filming licenses prior to the event.
A Limited Manufacture License can be purchased at:
PRS for Music – Limited Manufacture License
Cherrywood Productions reserves the right to request proof of licensing prior to filming.

15. Client Insurance

We strongly recommend all clients take out wedding insurance to cover unforeseen cancellation or disruption.

16. Delivery Format

Final photos and films will be delivered digitally unless otherwise agreed in advance.

17. Client Responsibility

It is the responsibility of the client(s) to inform Cherrywood Productions in advance of any specific people, moments, or details they wish to have captured (e.g., special guests, surprise elements, heirlooms).
While we will always do our very best to capture these requested shots, this cannot be guaranteed due to the dynamic nature of live events and changing circumstances on the day.
